What these two plans list

A WORKED EXAMPLE

What happens at 80?

Assume 80 requests are billable under each plan in comparable usage periods. That assumption needs confirmation for your store; a request and an RMA may not be the same billable event.

These are app fees only. A lower figure in this example does not establish which plan fits your workflow or produces a lower invoice for your store.

First, check what gets counted.

ReturnGO says each new return merchandise authorization (RMA) created during the billing period counts, even if it is later cancelled or rejected. If a store completes 80 returns but creates 120 RMAs, the published Premium formula gives $147 + 10 × $1.25 = $159.50 for that period. This is a separate hypothetical example, not a quote. Return Prime’s public listing does not resolve how cancelled, rejected, repeated or multi-item requests count. Ask its team before applying your number. Do not assume the same 80 or 120 events are billed identically by both.

These are not the only plans.

The Shopify listings show a wider range. The example above does not calculate the cheapest plan across each vendor’s full range.

• Return Prime: Start is free to install with 5 free return requests and $0.49 per additional request. Grow starts at $19.99; Thrive AI lists $79.99 for 180 requests and $0.79 extra; Scale lists $149.99 for 450+ requests and $0.49 extra. Ask what “450+” means for your quote and period.
• ReturnGO: Premium lists $147 for 110 returns and $1.25 extra; Pro lists $297 for 300 returns and $0.90 extra. The listing says add-ons and integrations are available; confirm their prices and your eligibility.

Confirm plan availability, terms, required functions, taxes, labels, postage, integration and setup costs before you compare actual offers.

Before installing or deciding.

1. Write down your initial choice. What would you choose before comparing the actual quotes, and why?
2. Ask both providers for itemised offers. Include your country, carrier, billing period, expected billable requests and exchange needs. Ask how cancelled, repeated and multi-item requests are counted.
